Here is our "E" for day 2.
Just so you can enjoy all of my variety, you can be impressed with the totally bland card #1 that we chose. Thankfully we still had some in red and green, this is just to show you what we were working with though.
And these, ah, these my favorites in the whole box. These are for today, Dec 2, and these three are the last I have. The box came with 12-16 cards and I bought them at this place called Fioriware near where I grew up. It was this wonderfully artsy, quaint, cool pottery shop in the middle of a very run down part of town and it was a piece of heaven. It was definitely not the kind of place where I could afford much of anything, but I splurged on this box of cards because I loved the artwork so much and have very carefully thought about who would be the recipient of these cards because they weren't to go to someone who wouldn't ooh and ahh over them too, of course.
As a side note, my friends parents (Trina) got me a vase from there for our wedding and it is a very beloved gift! Esp since the store sadly closed its doors. Guess it wasn't fitting in with the non-trendy vibe of the town.
And here is my box of cards, even after I took 75 cards out of it. And I have another box, same size, full of post cards and envelopes. Why don't I write letters more??? Maybe this is the realization I need to get myself to do that!
Q: Do you buy just any old cards or do you buy really special ones? Do you send them much?

The Fioriware store didn't close it's doors because they weren't making enough money...the owner decided she was ready to retire and move to Vermont. It was a very sad day when they did close...I LOVE Fioriware!!
i love sending/writing cards. i usually buy nice cards (letterpress are my favorite, but they are def. more spendy, so that's not as often..) but people ALWAYS appreciate a handwritten card or note. why? because it takes TIME. something that the world isn't much into these days. :) unless they're cutting down on it. so yes, i send cards and letters and the kids do too - to cousins who live far away. and when it's reciprocated, they LOVE it too!
