Saintly Friend

I decided to attempt making dinner for the first time in probably six weeks--I have been on the road for 3 of those and the week before my fam was here so Josh cooked a lot and they helped and eating out, etc. The kids are going pretty stir crazy since I've really been laying around most of the day with nausea so dinner was becoming more complicated than I'd planned.

We had plans to do dessert and games and some people looking into our church with our missionaries but they had to cancel and I knew that meant the missionaries were out of dinner plans, so I invited them over thinking I'd better jump on it since who knows the next time I'll actually be making dinner. The house is a disaster and I started thinking I might have bitten off too much to chew.

And then my saintly friend Angie stopped by out of nowhere and asked if she could take my kids and offered to chop my onion. Angie was literally deathly ill during her three pregnancies so I feel like a total sissy complaining about my nausea to her, but that's just how she is, she's like the urgent response team any public service would love to have.

I love good friends. Thanks Angie!!!!!

Q: Did you ever have a friend save you in a time of need?

Hmmm....yes. You did! Remember that one day when I was pregnant with #3 and pathetically laying on my couch sick as a dog with a disastrous house, a husband gone on a scout camping trip, and melting kids. And you knocked on my door, washed my dishes, picked up my house, and then rubbed my shoulders? Oh yeah, I remember that. That was awesome.
