Disappointment

This is a repeat picture, but I didn't have one of the night I was having a meltdown. Good thing or it would've scared you, you know the puffy, red-eye, tears, snotty look. Well anyway, not to dwell on this running business, but I was just totally consumed by disappointment. I didn't think I'd be able to run this race with Josh, or Boston, or Boston next year and maybe ever since I really don't know about marathons after this. Blah blah blah. I know, more running, but...

Point is, I started thinking about how I've felt disappointment, but only seriously bad a few times, and wondered how often others feel serious disappointment and over what kinds of things. I know this is a personal topic, but I'm curious if you want to share:

Q: When is the last time you were seriously disappointed about something, like really down about it?

Q: What was it about?

Ergh. . .I cannot handle disappointment. At. all. I need to take a class in it or something. I used to (before becoming a mother--interestingly enough!) get seriously disappointed about the most minor of things. I don't think I truly was "disappointed" until well into my 20s. Not sure how I escaped it that long, and I don't have too much experience (not that I'm asking for any, for sure!).

Sabrina I'm so glad I'm not alone. I know I felt it before my 20s, but one of my first really painfully disappointing times was about 4 years ago, so in my 20s too.
