Thankful

I wanted to have a blog week of Thanksgiving where I posted things every day that I'm thankful for. Since I didn't get started on Sunday, I'll have to just make up for lost time. I'll start with the more obvious things.
Josh.
I don't know how to adequately say how thankful I am for my husband. We're like the perfect yin yang. I believe in soul mates, not that everyone has one really, but I just believe that he's mine. When I met Josh, there was an instant connection which would ultimately make up for our millions of differences. I felt as though I'd come home when he was around. I know he doesn't like to yap about himself much and a lot of people only see Josh on the surface, whatever that may be, so I guess I'm thankful I get to see the inner workings of him, at least some of them:).

I'm so proud of him, his efforts to be good, to be better, his quest to master himself. I'm inspired by his thoughts and sort of left in awe of his thought process and how clearly things come together in his mind. He can sort things out so much faster than me and when I ask him his thoughts about something that's stumping me, he'll share his and then I think, "Yeah, that's it!" At least a lot of the time :).

I'm incredibly thankful for his devotion to me and our daughters. He gives all he has at work and then some, comes home kind of burned out, and starts all over again giving it all to us. He lights up when he sees his daughters and is more expressive since having them than I've ever seen him before, it's so sweet. He'd do anything for our family, which includes a lot of humility if I have suggestions of the route that might be. I can't think of a more reassuring characteristic in a marriage than willingness to change and humility. He is so great!

He's smart. Loving. A great cook. Thoughtful. Talented--great pianist! HARD worker. Funny. Sometimes hilarious. Adventurous. Entertaining. Agreeable. Generous. Kind. Sweet. Movtivated. Level-headed. Problem-solver (and a really good one). Gives great advice. Patient. Brief (has it's benefits sometimes!) Spiritual.

I am thankful beyond description for Josh and for everything that he is and strives to be. He makes me laugh, helps me up when I'm down, is a great sounding board, runs with me when I'm slower than him just for the company, and is just a great spouse all around.

I love you Josh!

Q: What are you thankful for?

Q: What is a characteristic you are esp grateful for in your spouse or a loved one?

This post (and Josh's comment) made me smile in a big way. I miss you guys a lot. Let's live by each other someday, ok? =)

I am grateful for my little baby boy today.
One of the things I am most grateful for Christopher is something you brought up about Josh as well - how he's always pushing himself. I sort of forget that you can really improve yourself at this stage in life, but I watch him making hard, challenging goals for himself and watch him slowly become this amazing person and spiral upwards and upwards - whereas I would just have thought I was pretty cool from the beginning and called it good! ;)

Hey, can you send me an e-mail from the e-mail account you use most so I can send you an invite to my blog? I keep sending them to your yahoo account, but I don't think you use that anymore.
