First Impression?

Okay, this was a picture from one of those "worst dressed celebs" weekly things and I couldn't resist putting it on here. What's your first impression? Well, besides really, "What was she thinking?" The site mentioned that she shouldn't wear these leggings that show off her "curvy" figure. While I agree that leggings like this on most people wouldn't look good, I have to say I find it quite refreshing to see some legs instead of sticks on a celebrity. And please, she's barely "curvy."

Q: Be honest, was your first impression, "WHAT? Where are her pants???...oh, I guess she is wearing something..."

Q: Are you influenced by the skinny-race/competition of Hollywood?

Q: If you lived in a Californian city (any really) do you think you'd be more likely to drop a few pounds due to the hyped up pressure I imagine there is? (If you're in CA, weigh in! haha, really didn't mean the pun at first)

First impression was is she just wearing a shirt - and then I realized her leg skin color didn't match her chest :)

I am not going to get started on how I feel about the curvy comment - Hollywood has infected our thoughts about figure, love and the American dream - we are no longer trying to keep up with the Jones it is keep up with the brad & Angela’s (not to single one couple out of the others) - I am so done with the media - they have ruined so much and not always with accurate facts in realism with fabricated partial truths. And I wonder why I get so mad when I watch the news - yes the world is corrupt but isn't it a vicious cycle of we see it we give it attention we do - I guess I just think we should be good and realize the world isn't all about us.

My bad I said I wouldn't go off :).

Afton So glad you are in the blog world - at least I get to see something of what is going on with you in your life :).

I noticed that her shirt looks modest actually. Yeah, it's open quite a bit but at least her breasts aren't sticking up and out! I think a different pair of pants would have been better because those leggings look strange but I don't think she is too curvy. I think that's the problem with our society today. We have to be skinny to be acceptable! I want to lose weight because I'm not healthy at my weight, not because I want to be like Hollywood movie stars who have a pathetic excuse for a life. How many times do we see the cover of a magazine like PEOPLE say, such and such a celeb got married. I give it 3 months tops when they do. Their divorce rate is higher than that of "normal" families.

Whoops, forgot to switch accounts. Sorry about that. I use Anita Nap for my special needs blog.

Hahahaha - I read that article too!
My first impression was - What?! She's not wearing any pants! (Mischa frequently makes the worst dressed celeb list for too short and too weird clothes, so it wouldn't have been totally shocking if she wasn't.) Anyway, Stacey and Clinton say that leggings are for SKINNY people because they add the illusion of curves to an otherwise straight body. A woman who already has curves doesn't need to be wearing leggings. I don't like that color for those pants. Super yuck!
I don't see anything immodest about her shirt - check out your Mormon friends - they probably wear shirts as low-cut as that!
It isn't a sin to be super skinny, and sans a few curves. I know people like that.
I think I'm influenced by it in that when I see skinny people, it makes me want to get healthy. But, the same thing happens when I see a fat person too. And there's pressure to look good everywhere you go. Anywhere where you have access to see the beautiful people Hollywood has manufactured, there will be LOTS of pressure.

I noticed her bottom half first but didn't think she was pantless. My first thought was: if I was that hippy-oh, I am-I wouldn't think of wearing leggings anywhere-and if I did, I'd wear something over them.

Buuuuut on the other hand, even though I think leggings (that show everything) don't look great on ANY figure, I kind of like it that she has the guts enough to do it!

I have NO NO NO desire to be Hollywood stick thin. And its a good thing b/c its not in the mix for this set of genes! :)

Fun comments, didn't think I was alone in my thoughts! Although I'm no fashion queen, I do think she looks crazy in these, but at the same time, kind of proud of her for doing it. I don't know if she meant it as an act of bravery though.

Good thoughts on the media, that's why I asked. I think it's a little crazy myself.

bad, bad, bad. bad color for starters. And really Mischa, these are not pants by any stretch of the imagination. Plus, they just don't look that great on her.

Yeah, agreed, those are not pants.
