Etsy Love

I've made my first Etsy purchase! I used to think Etsy was too overwhelming, but that's because I didn't have anything in mind when I first went there. Now I love it, so much great stuff!

After spending way too long trying to find the perfect stamp and even uploading 32 pics of fun ones here, Josh and I narrowed it down to two, #19 and #30. I liked the wax splat on the one and we liked the "We are here" on the other, but the font didn't seem to fit the whimsy of that one, so after doing some MORE looking, I found another site that I'd somehow missed before--and even now going to search for this image I couldn't find it (went to my account and found it there, imagine that).

Anyway, we bought this one from http://www.etsy.com/shop/2impress. I love all their stamps and want to buy more and more and write letters just to use the stamps! I have my thank you's finally done from baby gifts but I'm thinking about waiting to send them so I can go to town with my new stamp once it arrives. I love that this one has the little hand and the fill-in-the-blanks like an old library card, I've always loved filling in blanks on things like this. I used to buy pads that were all official for secretaries so I could fill in nonsense about "While you were out."
And I found this from them too and want to get it because it has your address and then tidy little lines to do what? FILL IN THE BLANKS! How fun! More filling, I love it.

And on a separate note, I want this hat for baby pics. But it takes too long to get here before we take the pics. Anyone have a cute fluffy hat? Or know of a place in the bay area that might sell cute hats? I can't find much online. ugh.
Q: Do you shop from etsy? Josh didn't know what it was last night when I was talking about it and I couldn't help but laugh. I should be proud of him really, he is a man after all.

I can make you a hat, Afton. . . . You would need to find the yarn and the crochet pattern. Fluffy yarns aren't the easiest to work with, but it can be done!

Crochet patterns can be found fairly easily on Etsy -- more Etsy purchases for you. :) This one is a tad similar: http://www.etsy.com/listing/68755223/fuzzy-wuzzy-teddy-bear-hat-6-sizes.

Just let me know!

Jen, that is soo nice of you! Like really really nice, but Meghan is taking them on Thursday so there won't be enough time. I'll have to pick your brain about where to buy yarn around here though because I think I might just unravel a bunch for him to lay on.

Julie, what do you sell? What is your shop's name?

Oh I LOVE LOVE etsy! I don't buy everything there, but I do get a lot of inspiration there. And...well...who am I kidding...I totally buy a lot of stuff through them. I just love that whatever I'm buying is unique and personal.

I LOVE the address stamp/delivery stamps that you chose, so cute. I never would have thought to buy such a thing, but I just might do it this year when I have to do Christmas cards because it's so cute!

Hope you are sleeping at nights and doing well!
