The Saga NEVER ends.

So apparently we have a rotten roof. The whole thing isn't kaput, but we just had a guy come out to look at it and we have a healthy sized chunk that is rotten and is causing leaks because someone tried to do a cheap job--as is the history of the house we're finding.

On the up side, the leaks on one end of the house are just from a sky light--also because of a cheap job and using the wrong kind of skylight for our roof. Did you know that for a measly tiny skylight it would cost $800 to change it? We're going to use some heavy caulking instead and cross our fingers.

So taking a lead from Polly Anna: At least we have a roof (for now:), Josh has a job, it won't be work inside the house, shouldn't mess up the kids lives too much, there won't be safety concerns having small kids like there were with the renovation. And probably most importantly, it's sorta funny at this point. I have actually been laughing about it already, so I guess that's even celebration worthy!

I mean, really, what else could possibly go wrong after this? Maybe I dare not ask, there seem to be things lurking under the surface here.
