I love garage sales, sometimes I get addicted. That usually only happens if I'm looking for something in particular so if I'm not, I try to stay away because it's hard to walk away empty-handed, although I'm getting better at that.
A while ago I was on a jog with the girls on a Saturday morning and just in case, I brought a $20 along with me. After following obscure signs to what looked to be a highly unpromising little collection of grandmothers clothes and trinkets, I saw a jewelry stand at the front as I was about to turn away. And hallelujah!
Get this: $1 each. I bought the silver heart necklace and another one (not shown) for the girls. You really can't appreciate how great they are from the pics. So good, I had to go back later that day to reconsider buying the $2-3 dollar ones or more for the girls, but I only bought a couple more, hard to pay that much for others when I got such a good deal already:).
Q: Have a favorite? I know, hard to choose.
Q: What's your best garage sale find?

Went looking of a cheap double stroller, instead I scored a $300 Kelty Hiking Backpack Baby Carrier, decked with all accessories, WITH THE TAG STILL ON IT and all the packaging. They asked $175. I offered them $20, just to be funny before starting to really negotiate AND THEY ACCEPTED. $20!!!! I love that thing even more because everytime I look at it I smile and think "SCORE!"
Garage sales are the bomb.
I love them all, I think you scored!
I love that you took garage sale money with you on your run.
The spring pea and glass bead choker with the cool clasp. :-)
Last year I found a duvet and cover for practically nothing. So fun! I also found a pair of Ecco brand children's shoes for my daughter for about $2.
