I know this picture may be prety unremarkable to you, but I was so excited to see it because it means I have finally captured some sunflares when intended!

I had Hazel just play around there for a while with the sun in the background (and no, I didn't ask her to lift up her shirt, what kind of mother do you think I am?). I know the rest of the pic could use some work so it might look average to everyone, but to me it's sort of remarkable.
Q: Do you have any tips on getting sunflares in your pictures?

You know it's not something I've thought about much, but I've found that if I'm shooting into the sun, there is usually flare. If it's something you really want, I'd try going out and playing around with my settings and then checking the photo to see what works best. Which I guess is probably what you were doing here. :)
Yay! You got it! I still get mine by accident (usually sun poking around a corner/through things), but I haven't intentionally pursues it! There's an Austin-based photog who did some work with flares Pinkletoes.com i think.
I have no idea about the flares, but Best Wishes on your marathon on Monday!!:)
