If I was a dancer performing in a latin dance competition
If I had a million bucks to blow
If I had her body
If I wanted to walk down the streets of NYC
If I was kind of hoochy (but oh how I'd love to be a little hoochy to wear this)

I think you do have the body for this. Yes, I do have a dress that I would wear, if only, but I've also thought about how I would modify it because I would sew it. You could make the skirt a longer and put a different top on it, maintaining the wrapped look of the cloth and the train. It might take so much out of it that you wouldn't like it anymore, but you never know.
I've always loved strapless wedding dresses. They are so flattering to nicely-shaped shoulders and arms...(sigh) oh well...
Oh my gosh Arlynda, I wish I had a lot of money, a reason to wear it, and you as my seasmstress! I love how you can envision things! After reading this I was like, "I miss Arlynda!" I put it in quotes, because I thought it a few times in those words:). I love how you think through things, both in design and social things!
And Julie, I know. So many flattering styles out there. I have really big broad shoulders and you can really notice that in some shirts, but I love that this model has big shoulders too but it's not the focus since she's got all the rest of that going on!
Afton, I love you, but I hate this dress. Maybe if the sparkly part wasn't sparkly I'd like it more. I don't know. You crack me up.
Ahh! Katrina, the sparkles are what make up half of the awesomeness of this dress! I am sooo in love with it. My prom skirt was the same color, guess I'm a sucker for pink. Your comment makes me think of all the people who critique the oscar dresses and how all the people wear something they obviously love but how different it's received!
I'm curious about your dream dress, find one and send it to me. That woudl be so fun to see everyone's different choices!
Josh just looked at it and goes, "That's a dress?...It looks like a bathing suit with a frill on the back. It looks kind of funky though..." Whatever that means. Yeah, but I bet he'd like it on though.
