Did you know I was an extra in a Bollywood movie with a couple of my friends? We even got paid for it!!! Here is a sample of Indian music and...humor? It is such a different culture but soo entertaining if you let it be.
The movie is called "Janeman" and I have a copy so I can watch my 2 minutes of fame. The movie surprisingly looks more high class than this too, so I bought shirts for my friends and I from and Indian shirt company that say "I'm Famous in Bollywood" and I put "Janeman" on the back. I like to think that the Indian's are searching for their unnamed stars out there.
Ohh! I just found a trailer for it. Be wowed! I esp like the Youtube comments that people love the movie, I have this strange sense of pride for it:).
I had to keep looking, this is so fun for me!
This one isn't from our movie, but it's pure Bollywood goodness. I love how they seem to try to make it obvious how they dub over all the voices during the songs with the high pitched women and gurgly man voices.

Bollywood is better than Hollywood, in most cases! I went to India in the Summer of 2001 and loved the fact that the entire country is obsessed with dance. The costumes are also amazing, and the makeup too!
Trina I totally thought of you and Lauren in this post, I remembered you saying she was really into it a while back.
And Jamie a trip to India??? That's been on my wish list forever. I think it started when I sponsored a kid from there like 12 years ago and my fascination began. Hm, thinking of that sort of makes me feel guilty for stopping! I'd love to see all the colors and food!
Ummmm....yes, I've been in a Bollywood movie! ;) Although when I think about that night, mostly I just think about me having a total meltdown and you trying to comfort me! =)
That was really fun to watch the previews - that was seriously entertaining! We should track it down and watch it in April when you're out here!!
