Tea Parties

Last night Josh had to work kind of late so I put City down for bed and then had Family Home Evening (activity, songs, lesson every Monday night) alone with Hazel. It was actually the first time it was just the two of us (we'd just bump it a night if he wasn't home). It was so fun, we got out our "FHE Blanket" and laid on it and did a lesson and sang songs, it was so fun! I used the nursery manuel Amy recommneded, thanks! Then as we were laying on our stomachs reading in The Friend, Josh walked in. She was so excited, she ran to him with open arms saying, "Daddy! Daddy's home!" It was so sweet. It had been a very long day for both of us, so it was nice to have her so happy. (Not all my days are long really, there was just a long break since the last entry!)

Then we had a tea party with the tea set my mom gave her for Christmas--we just had one on Friday too:). It was so fun!!! At our last one we talked about our favorite princesses, Josh too. It's worth it just for that--his is Sleeping Beauty just for the record (although he had to come up with some sophisticated reason for it like he loves the music by that composer I won't attempt to spell.) It was hilarious. We have esp good manners at our tea parties and last time played opera music and last night a candle and no other lights. It was so nice. We ate brownies and apple cider. Hazel set the table last time and she loves order, so we all got matching settings and she used her fork with the brownie. I love that girl!

oh yes, tea parties are so fun, huh? Celia brings hers out just about every night after Madsen goes to bed and Travis is so sweet to play with her, just like Josh. :)
