California Trip

Josh and I just went to California for the weekend. His firm has an office in Palo Alto, so we all went for a trip while he worked a little.
Josh was a saint and let me sleep in while he took the girls to breakfast and then took them swimming so I could eat a leisurely breakfast alone reading the paper. It was awesome. We were blessed with a miracle. I think Hazel has fallen asleep in the car like 5 times since she was a year old. They both were so sleep deprived they conked out so we were able to just kill time driving around. We decided to head to the beach.
We stayed long enough for us to take this picture. We needed to get back for a firm Christmas party. Bummer, it was really pretty. I LOVE the beach. Oh, we did stay one minute more while I made Josh shut his eyes with me with the windows down to listen to the waves. Ahh...so peaceful.
We drove by Stanford. It made me want to go back to school, and there. The whole bit about me being able to get in isn't necessary in this little hypothetical dream. It is a beautiful campus.

I am such a tourist. I had my hand out of the car trying to get pics since Josh was in a hurry:). We did catch the plane. Good thing it was delayed.

Q: Do you prefer the West Coast or the East Coast better?
Q: Do you think it's worth it to live in places like CA or NYC where it costs a fortune but it's gorgeous and offers a lot to do?

I vote for West Coast, and YES it is definitely worth the extra money to live somewhere where you can love the weather and always have fun day trips! In my humble opinion... :)

Q1
I love living just outside of DC, and it isn't as expensive as I thought it would be, although more expensive than Houston. There is so much to do here. You can't help but be interested in American History, because it is all around you. Today was beautiful I went running after dark in just a t-shirt and shorts, it was awesome. But the occassional cold day is nice, and snow is even better because Jamie gets to stay home :).
Q2:
I would LOVE to live in a big city, or way out in the country. I'm an all or nothing kinda girl. I don't really like living in suburbia. So yes, I do think that it is worth it to live some where that offers a lot to do.
Sorry if my answers don't make sense.

I vote for the third coast. I LOVE TEXAS. I'll be honest and admit that Houston is not the most scenic place to live, but I really don't take for granted the rights we have. Well, I'll leave it at that.
I hope you're doing well.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I love your last pic-so cool. Hmm. I don't know if I have a fav. I've always thought it would be fun to live in New England but sunshine sounds swell too... :)
