Arizona's Prop 102

My sister is living in Arizona and told me about the big heated debate about same-sex marriage. I found this interesting article/interview on what some General Authorities from my church said about same-sex attraction.

Here is The Family: A Proclamation to the World, also from my church. It's what we believe the family to be.

And here is a video by the Catholics that is very good. Why won't this show up as an embeded video? It keeps showing an error. Any suggestions?

To say it's a heated debate out here in Berkeley is a major understatement... even within the church. Our leadership has all but told me not to talk about it except to members of the ward who approach me (I'm the ward zip code coordinator, supposed to coordinate volunteers to help with a grassroots campaign to support our Prop8 (the california version))! It's that divisive. Tough subject, but the church is clear! Thanks for the post!

Wow, I'm curious to know more. I don't really get why things are so divided within the church when there are firm statements by the Prophet and apostles. I know there are plenty of things people disagree with but are still believers in general, but what is it there that people have issues with?

My sister in AZ's ward got them to volunteer to call people about it I think so they're pretty encouraged to be active about it, what a difference!
